NOVEMBER 2001 The October meeting was an interesting talk and demonstration of Hand-Bell ringing by Mr D. Clarke. A number of bells of special interest were brought from Mr. Clarke's collection and he gave us a fascinating talk on the history and purpose of each one. We then enjoyed listening to some lovely bell ringing from Mr Clarke, and finally rounded off the evening by 'having a go' ourselves! Under the expert tuition of Mr. Clarke we managed some recognisable renditions on the bells. A thoroughly enjoyable evening was had by all. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, 13th November, when Mr. Steve Cox will be giving a talk on "SARA" - the lifeboats of the "Severn Area Rescue Association". All are welcome. We meet at Llanvaches Church Hall at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of the month.
