MARCH 2001

An unusual venue was chosen for our February meeting - Newport Police Station. I am pleased to report that everyone returned home safely after a very interesting evening!

The evening began with a short essential business meeting followed by refreshments and a quiz on "Ages of Consent".

Here are some of the questions:

What age do you need to be to:-

  1. Inherit goods and money?
  2. Buy Liqueur Chocolates?
  3. Play Licensed Bingo?
  4. Have a tattoo?
  5. Become a Police Constable?
  6. Stand for Parliamentary election?
'Juliette', a schools liaison officer, then took us on a tour of the station, including the identity parade suite.

And here are the answers!
