Hello there!
It's been a busy month and the next few months are about to get busier: The 'Pampered Chef' night was very enjoyable. We were treated to a demonstration of kitchenware and tasted a delicious broccoli bake prepared before our very eyes - allegedly low-calorie. At least the crudités were low-cal. The cake was seriously yummy and went down a treat with our teas and coffees!
'Round the Horne', a Jazz group from Caldicot entertained us at our Jazz on a Summer's Night event - a first for the Hall. It was a real treat to see musicians clearly enjoying themselves as much as their audience and we were happy to welcome a good number of people who belong to the Caldicot Jazz Club (groupies!).
Village Hall News:
Disabled access: We're checking ownership of land adjacent to the Hall car park and once that's clarified we can go ahead with marking out bays - particularly a disabled parking bay. We've also been advised to install a rail outside the front door to prevent children running out into traffic.
The Food Handling Course: Congratulations to everyone who achieved this qualification. They should have received their certificates by now. Well done!
A big THANK YOU to those who helped on the day of the Easter Egg Hunt as without them the day would not have been such a success.
Particular appreciation to Dai Bennett for the haybales, Charlie Searle for the use of your truck, Tracey and Ceri Gwynne, Bernie Gardiner, Kevin Evans and Tesco's store in Chepstow for the donation of £10 (which went towards the chocolate prizes).
And thank you to all those friends and families that supported the day to make it an enjoyable one for everybody.
