Hello There!
In a mad moment I volunteered to help out with the Newsletter and I'll start with huge thanks to Hilary who has given 22 years invaluable service to the Association. I don't think anyone realises just how much she put into the role of Secretary. The good news is she's not gone away. Nicky, the new Minutes Secretary, and I met with her recently and she has offered us her guidance. Thank you Hilary - we appreciate it!
Hall Access.
Officers met the architect on 7 May to discuss the planned access improvements. The original drawings are to be adapted to include a disabled parking bay.
200 Club.
Annual membership is due this month. At only £12 a year you'll support your Village Hall and give yourself a chance to win the monthly £40, £25 or £10 prizes. Payments to and information from Bob Brooks, contact me for details of how to get in touch with him.
Chocaholics.
By now everyone will have eaten and enjoyed the yummy chocs and no doubt started planning how to lose those extra pounds! Thanks to everyone who placed orders with Lesley. The ViHage Hall and Playing Fields benefit from the proceeds.
The Newsletter.
Did you know that this newsletter is delivered to 530 households in the area? I wonder how many copies find their way toother parts of the UK or abroad. Let me know how tar the Newsletter travels - it will make an interesting topic in future editions.
Dog Fouling.
Very unpleasant for other users of the field. I know we're probably preaching to the converted, but please control your pet and pick up the mess.
