Saturday 29 September This is the last one of the season, so if you haven't had that clear out yet, it's no good hoarding it all through the winter. Bring it to the car boot sale and sell it! Saturday and Sunday 13th and 14th October The Roman legionnaires who came to the Millennium Festival Show last year were so popular that we're having them back! Keep this weekend free as the Romans and Silurian Celts will be about on the Saturday - see the soldiers, the armourer at his forge making weapons, the story teller, Roman doctor and much more. On Sunday there will be walks (courtesy of the Caerwent Historic Trust) to local Roman landmarks, and we are also arranging a tour and talk of the archaelogical excavations in Caerwent by the University of Wales, Cardiff. We will let you know the event times in the next newsletter - it promises to be an interesting weekend. 'A Friday' at the end of October The exact date will be announced next month for a repeat of our previous race nights which have been a great success. Another rip roaring night is planned! You can sponsor a race, buy a racehorse and cheer it home or just attend the race meeting and back a few winners. Whichever you decide upon, you can be sure of a good night out. It's more fun if you are able to come along in a group, so why not book a table and bring your friends. This will be a ticket only event and Committee members will be in contact soon.
