Caerwent School Annexe, 1955

Because of lack of space in the village school, an annexe was et up at the 'Cafeteria', a catering and entertainment facility built by the Ministry of Defence for the extra population that had been brought in to man the Royal Naval Propellant Factory that was situated north of the village.
As yet these pupils haven't been identified - however their teacher, Miss Pritchard, on the right, is unmistakable!

Sincere thanks to Mrs Rose Marsh for the loan of this photograph.
